Description
A Chianti Classico red wine with fresh mineral notes
Produced in the Chianti Classico appellation with vines located between 280 and 480 meters above sea level, the Chianti Classico Brolio of Barone Ricasoli benefits from gravelly soil which also varies according to the plot. The wine is aged in barrels for 9 months before ageing for 3 to 6 months directly in the bottle. The 2014 vintage comes from an assembly of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
At tasting, the Chianti Classico Brolio 2014 of Barone Ricasoli presents an intense ruby red colour. The nose reveals a long and fragrant bouquet, giving off aromas of red berries, vanilla and spice. The wine is harmonious in mouth, revealing beautifully balanced tannins. The finish is intensely persistent and offers touches typical of this product, combining freshness and minerality.
