1998 Barolo from Piedmont

Despite its age, the 1998 Barolo Riserva of Borgogno shows youth through its barely evolved light garnet-tinted red colour. It gives off bay laurel, dried rose petals, Morello cherry or even leather. The palate of this 1998 Barolo Riserva is sumptuous, both soft and precise, with a good evolving volume, as well as a persistent and silky finish. This is great wine worth keeping that can still wait a few more years in the darkness of a cellar.
