White wine from Savigny is very rare because the vineyard mainly produces red wines. Thus, Domaine Chanson Premier Cru Savigny-Les-Beaune 2010 Hauts Maconnets breaks the rules since it is 100% Chardonnay. The strong proportion of white marlstone encouraged Chanson to plant this grape-variety in the Hauts Maconnets. The 2010 vintage Premier Cru Sauvigny-Les-Beaunes 2010 Hauts Marconnets aged 15 months in oak barrels. It shows a golden colour with emerald glints. It has a beautiful aromatic complexity on the nose which is dominated by citrus and almond notes with hints of fresh honey. The palate is precise and nervous with an unctuous mouth-feel. It is a generous and harmonious wine between a dynamic acidity, salinity and minerality.
