Description
This 2009 Chateau d'Armailhac displays a dark, intense red colour. This sunny vintage gave generosity to this wine; it then reveals a rich nose of good aromatic freshness. This vintage combines well-ripened red berry aromas and delicate vanilla notes. On the palate, this Pauillac shows a powerful and straight attack, on a full mid-palate around well-ripened, blended tannins of perfectly regular texture. The evolution is delicate. The 2009 Chateau d'Armailhac is a fleshy wine, enhanced by lightly grilled woody notes, and unveils a persistent finish. The property here signed one of its greatest vintages. It is expected to let the wine age in the bottle for a few decades, in order to develop the most remarkable expression specific to this Pauillac terroir. This 5th classified growth has an exceptional ageing potential.
