The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos du Chateau Blanc of Chateau de la Maltroye comes from a plot of 1.18 hectares in monopole of the Domaine. The about 50 year old Chardonnay vineyard is planted in front of the Chateau in the South-East of Chassagne. The straw-coloured 2009 Clos du Château blanc is a true representative of the Domaine Premiers crus, on Chassagne. The wine is rich and mineral. The nose reveals flower, citrusy and exotic fruit aromas, whereas it is rich and strong on the palate, with a very aromatic, persistent finish.
