Domaine de la Pousse d’Or’s 2011 Santenay 1er Cru Clos Tavannes is produced from vineyard that is walled on three sides. The east facing vineyard lies on marl clay soil covering 2.09 hectare (6.15 acres).  This Burgundy is both powerful and delicate. This 2011 vintage aged 15 months on lees, in oak (20%new). The 2011 Santenay 1er Cru Clos Tavannes perfectly conveys the Pinot Noir with complex aromas of black fruits and toasted hints. The palate reveals superb balance, finesse, and thick finish: a mark of great maturity.
