2009 Barolo, pure Nebbiolo from Piedmont
The 2009 Barolo of domain Elio Altare is deep and elegant. It mainly comes from Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba vineyards and is 100% Nebbiolo. This 2009 Barolo is garnet-tinted red coloured with purple highlights, characters due to its youth. On the nose, it expresses floral, red berry and mild spices fragrances. On the palate, the 2009 Barolo of Elio Altare is a warm wine from Piedmont, open, with a still firm tannic structure that will allow waiting for a few more years in cellar.
