Description
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2015 from Jean Chartron : an elegant white wine
A white wine made from Chardonnay in the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru appellation, Jean Chartron's 2015 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from vines planted on clay-limestone soils. This wine benefits from fermentation in oak barrels, with a proportion of 30% new oak and 70% old oak with one to five previous vintages. The wine is aged in casks on fine lees for 14 months before spending 4 months in vats.
At the tasting, the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2015 from Jean Chartron presents a lime-yellow colour, and lime fragrance on the nose. The attack on the palate reveals woody touches before notes of fresh almonds. This Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2015 is a classy white wine that can be consumed until 2022.
This comment is intended to describe the general profile of the wine at a specific moment of tasting. Note that over time the wine (which inevitably evolves in the bottle) may develop other organoleptic qualities.
