Château Rieussec video
Listed as a 1st growth in the 1855 classification, in 1984 chateau Rieussec became one of Baron de Rothschild's prized vineyards. Amazed by and passionate about sweet wines, Baron Eric de Rothschild has the innermost conviction to produce there one of the Sauternes appellation's marvellous botrytised wines. The wines produced in1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 provide proof of this. With these vintages, Rieussec balances complexity, richness and sweetness whilst maintaining freshness: a measure of the essential balance.
