Château Patache d'Aux
The name of Chateau Patache d'Aux is derived from "Patache", meaning coach, because stagecoaches traveling in the Medoc used to stop at the famous vineyards of the Knights d'Aux. Since this time, the "Patache" has become the symbol of the chateau and a stagecoach and three horses is depicted on the label. The vineyards of Chateau Patache d'Aux stand on clay and limestone soil, not far from the Gironde. The vineyard is 43 acres and is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
