Chateau Pichon Baron video

Chateau Pichon Longueville (Baron), 2nd Cru Classe in 1855, is one of the great aristocratic wines of the Medoc. Formerly a single entity which was split up into two parts in 1830 to create the distinct Pichon Longueville and Pichon Comtesse labels, the Chateau Pichon Baron very soon carved out an excellent reputation as a Grand Cru. With its subtle combination of the human factor (the charisma of its successive owners and the expertise of those working the vines), the micro-climate and the exceptional soil of the vineyard (structured around beautiful gravel and clay ridges over 40 hectares), Pichon Baron excels in Pauillac style and in the development of its great Cabernet wines in particular. Its Pichon Longueville and Les Tourelles de Longueville wines are indisputable evidence of the intrinsic qualities expected by serious amateurs of Pauillac wines.
