Albert Bichot : Aloxe Corton 1er cru "Clos des Maréchaudes" Dom. du Pavillon 2011

Facing south-east, the Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru “Clos des Marechaudes” lot lies on a highly concentrated brown clay soil. The Domaine du Pavillion monopoly is named after the lower part of Aloxe Corton -formerly a swamp nicknamed “Mareschaut” in old French. The shiny garnet 2011 Clos des Marechaudes gives off fruity aromas of wild strawberry, dark berries, mild spices, tea, or even cocoa. The palate carries a very supple tannic and velvety structure, with a long and flavourful finish.
