Au Pied du Mont Chauve : Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru "Les Caillerets" 2010

The Cuvée Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2010 from the estate Au Pied du Mont Chauve is made from a unique plot located on the southern part of the village of Chassagne Montrachet, on the hillside. Enjoying a beautiful sun exposure and a calcareous soil, it is grown in a biodynamic way. The grapes are handpicked and the Cuvée Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2010 from the estate Au Pied du Mont Chauve is partly aged in barrels (50%). This wine with hints of pale gold is 100% Chardonnay. It has a nose dominated by citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit. Its bouquet is also enriched with touches of tropical fruit and toasted almonds. The palate is balanced, tight and full of character.
