The name "Les Porrets" probably comes from the distortion of the word "poirier" (pear tree). This vineyard of Domaine Chanson stretches over 0.32 hectares, where once stood an orchard, and adjoins the Cailles vineyard. The 2009 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porrets Saint-Georges is pure Pinot Noir.
