The name "Les Porrets" probably comes from the distortion of the word "poirier" (pear tree). This vineyard of Domaine Chanson stretches over 0.32 hectares, where once stood an orchard, on a calcareous-clay soil, favourable to fine wine of the Cote de Nuits. The 2010 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porrets Saint-Georges is pure Pinot Noir. 

The wine reveals a rich bouquet with red and black berries fragrances, mixed with an empyreumatic note. This 2010 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Porrets Saint-Georges is full-bodied and generous on the palate. This bold wine offers a great ageing potential.
