A Cotes de Provence rose with character

A new rising star of the Cotes de Provence appellation, the Caves d’Esclans estate was created in 2006, when Bordeaux's Sacha Lichine acquired Chateau d'Esclans.

A rose wine produced in the Cotes de Provence appellation, the Whispering Angel of Caves d'Esclans comes from a rigorous selection of the region’s most beautiful terroirs, including the Motte, located in the Var department, in the heart of Provence.

The Whispering Angel Rose from Les Caves d'Esclans faithfully represents the spirit of the South with a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle (Vermentino), Syrah and Tibouren, a local grape variety. A wine from quite a delicate vintage, the Whispering Angel 2017 stuns with its freshness and aromatic expression. The Whispering Angel 2017 seduces with its pale pink colour and silver reflections. On the nose, the aromatic palette reveals plenty of freshness, with notes of small red fruits and delicate flowers. The palate of this wine offers a frank attack, round and full, juicy and beautiful texture. The finish of the Whispering Angel 2017 leaves a pleasant, persistent acidity in the mouth, punctuated by a fantastic freshness. A superb rose to enjoy now.

    Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2017 Cotes de Provence Rose Whispering Angel is a very good effort from this export-focused winery. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Vermentino, and Tibouren, it offers peach and melon aromas along with a plump, medium-bodied palate and a crisp, grapefruit-y finish. Yes, it's a well-known brand, but don't turn your nose up at it, as it represents solid grape sourcing and winemaking.
