The estate
Founded at the beginning of the 1950s, the Geoffroy Champagne House has been producing high quality vintages for 4 generations. A vineyard managed with the utmost care as well as a very precise plot-based vinification results in champagnes that exude the purest expression of the terroir and showcase the champagne's vibrant fruit.
The vineyard
Located in the heart of the Marne Valley in Champagne, the estate looks after a 14-hectare vineyard spread over an array of 35 plots. Respecting the terroir and the authentic expression of each plot, the vineyard’s management favours the microbial activity in the soil and limits human intervention as much as possible.
The wine
Geoffroy's Empreinte Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs 2015 is made from a selection of particularly early-ripening plots in Cumières (Barremonts, Demoiselles, Houtrants). The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted on clay-limestone soil with fragments of flint.
This champagne is made using the year 2015 as the base. The dosage is 1 g/l.
The vinification and ageing
The grapes are sorted by hand before undergoing traditional pressing. The vinification of this champagne, made exclusively from the best juice, is carried out in a plot-by-plot manner, with 80% in tuns, demi-muids and barrels. No malolactic fermentation.

The tasting
Nose
The nose delicately reveals delicious red fruit fragrances.
Palate
Fresh and lively, the palate harmoniously blends fruity notes (strawberries, redcurrant) and floral notes (peony). The finish seduces with its persistence and balance.
Food and wine pairing
Quail with grapes, Bresse chicken with morel mushrooms or friend mushrooms will pair with this Blanc de Noirs vintage by the Geoffroy Champagne House beautifully.
