Lavaut Saint-Jacques climat (land with unique combination of weather conditions and soil composition) is located West of Gevrey-Chambertin village. The Lavaut Saint-Jacques vineyard is South-East orientated. The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques is 100% Pinot Noir.
The dark ruby coloured wine reveals rich raspberry, cherry jam aromas on spices and vanilla fragrances. Generous and well-built, it offers a lovely dense and deep texture. The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques possesses elegant tannins as well as a delicate and melted wood. Spices notes are developed on the lingering finish.
