Château Beychevelle 2008

The 2009 Château Beychevelle possesses one of the highest degrees of alcohol ever produced on the property, as well as powerful tannins of rare nobility. The whole is balanced thanks to the acidity that confers the wine a beautiful freshness. The fruit prevails (blackcurrant, black cherry and blackberry). The ripeness is wide and silky. The elegant woody notes are a sign of the ageing process in oak barrels. The present tannins are delicious and a pledge of an important keeping potential. Finesse and balance distinguish the 2009 Château Beychevelle and its power - scarcely found during the greatest vintages- brings specificity to this Saint-Julien.
