Description
An elegant red wine from Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
A Grand Cru Classé produced in the appellation of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, the Château Corbin Michotte is a red wine from a vineyard with a total area of 7 hectares. 50 years old on average (on a plot over 100 years old), the vines benefit from a terroir composed of sandy loam soils on clayey sandy soils rich in iron, with gravel on the surface. The vineyard is planted with 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is matured in new oak barrels and stainless steel vats for 18 to 24 months.
The Château Corbin Michotte 2016 reveals fruity aromas, along with subtle notes of wood as a result of its breeding. This elegant wine reveals splendid, silky tannins. An outstanding potential for ageing, this wine can be stored for up to 30 years.
