A Côtes de Provence Rosé with accents of garrigue and mineral notes

One of the estates included in the Sumeire family holdings, Château Coussin is situated in the heart of the terroir of Trets, near Mont Sainte Victoire, in the Côtes de Provence appellation. This property was passed down from one generation of women to the next until it was eventually inherited by Elie Sumeire. He restored the estate with the help of his sons. For a long time now, the family vineyards have been cultivated with a minimal use of chemical pesticides. The team has also recently transitioned to sustainable agricultural methods as a way to protect the health of the natural ecosystem and the consumer who drinks their wine. The Sainte Victoire Côtes de Provence rosé from Château Coussin is a vegan rosé wine, blending 60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 20% Syrah. The grapes are harvested from vines that are 30 years old on average, and planted in soils of clay-limestone, with ancient gravelly alluvial deposits.

The Château Coussin Sainte Victoire Cotes de Provence rosé 2018 presents in the glass a pale pink colour with pink marble highlights. On the nose, this Provence rosé reveals rich aromas of litchi and eucalyptus, developing a subtle accent of garrigue and mineral touch, which echo its terroir of origin. This is truly a "foodie" rosé, whose well-rounded, beautifully balanced palate and fresh finish make it the ideal pairing with tuna tartar, cod with coconut milk, or seafood risotto.
