Description
Tavel La Dame Rousse 2016 from Domaine de la Mordorée : a round and fresh rose wine
A rosé wine produced in the Tavel appellation, the Tavel La Dame Rousse of the Domaine de la Mordorée comes from a vineyard with a total area of 9 hectares. The vines are an average of 40 years old and are planted on diverse soils consisting of round pebbles, limestone and sand. The Tavel La Dame Rousse of Domaine de la Mordoree is a blend of 60% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Clairette and 5% Bourboulenc.
The Tavel La Dame Rousse 2016 of Domaine de la Mordorée displays a pretty pink colour with shades of blue. The nose develops aromas of red fruits (strawberries, cherries, gooseberries), citrus fruits (pink grapefruit) and yellow fruits (mandarin), along with delicate floral notes (old roses). On the palate, the Dame Rousse 2016 offers roundness and great freshness.
This comment will need to be modified when the wine inevitably evolves with time.
