Description
An elegant and rich Rhône Valley rosé wine
The estate
Domaine de la Mordorée was created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son. Located in Tavel, near Avignon, this estate spreads over 60 hectares and comprises 38 parcels which showcase the perfect expression of appellations such as Tavel, Lirac, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône and Condrieu.
The vineyard
La Reine des Bois Tavel Rosé 2021 by Domaine de la Mordorée is a Tavel wine that stems from a 3-hectare vineyard located on the Plateau de Vallongue. The vines are 40 years old on average and are planted on a Villafranchian terrace composed of rolled pebbles and resting on a sandy-clay base.
Vinification and ageing
The hand-picked grapes are completely destemmed. Cold maceration for 48 hours. Fermentation at 18°C.
