Domaine de la Pousse d'Or : Volnay 1er cru "Clos des 60 Ouvrées" Monopole 2011

Premier cru Volnay 2011 Clos des 60 Ouvrees Monopole of Domaine de la Pousse d'Or comes from a plot surrounded by a dry stone wall, planted on the South-East part of the village, at the border of Meursault town. This plot of 2.39 hectares benefits from a nice sunshine and a mainly Argovian calcareous marlstone soil with, partially, calcareous-clay screes from the Bathonian. The Premier cru Volnay 2011 Clos des 60 Ouvrees Monopole of Domaine de la Pousse d'Or is a 100% Pinot Noir aged on lees in oak barrels (with 30% new barrels) for 15 months. This wine displays a deep and bright colour. It gives way to a concentrated nose with delicate notes of fig. The taste is balanced and gradually structures.
