Description
2008 Barolo, pure Nebbiolo from Piedmont.
The Aeroservaj cuvee, that means Wild Plane in old Piedmont dialect, gets its name from the nickname given by his father to the little Domenico Clerico. Both bold and dreamy, he wanted this cuvee to represent him: a child, then a man flying through his imagination beyond hills and lands to, even for just a second, be part of the real world. This new Barolo enjoys original labelling and capsuling: the six bottles of each cases exhibit a different etiquette which allow illustrating each aspect of Aeroplanservaj. This pure Nebbiolo grew on the Serralunga vineyard. It was aged 26 to 36 months in French oak barrels. This purple-tinted dark red 2008 Aeroplanservaj releases an elegant nose dominated by black fruit aromas, spices and wild flowers, as well as menthol notes. On the palate, the 2008 Aeroplanservaj shows good nervousness which will soften over the years. Its finish is persistent. This wine will fully open up after being kept for a few years and will peak between 2026 and 2030.
