Each year, Millésima offers a significant range of “en primeur” wines. These are wines sources directly from the producing estates, and delivered by Millésima a few weeks after bottling, roughly 18 to 24 months after the purchase by the client. The price of each estate’s en primeur wine is set between April and July following the harvest, after professionals and critics from around the world have tasted and evaluated each reference. Millésima is one of the 5 biggest buyers of en premier wines on the Place de Bordeaux, with more than 30 years of experience in this field, and an average annual purchase of 840,000 bottles.
En primeur wines often have the advantage of being available at special prices, less expensive than when they become “deliverable” (i.e. already bottled and stored in the bicentennial cellars of Millésima). This system also makes it possible to find rare wines, highly sought-after by connoisseurs around the world. Our Primeurs Alert system is designed to notify our clients by SMS as soon as a wine from a sought-after château becomes available "en primeur," offering clients the opportunity to quickly reserve wines that are available in limited quantities only. You may also want to consult our list of the latest en primeur releases and choose from our wide range of Primeurs 2019 and Bordeaux Primeurs 2019.
While the Primeurs system is largely linked to the Bordeaux and its major appellations, in which we specialise (Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Pessac-Léognan, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol...), we also offer a selection of en primeur wines from other regions, such as the fine wines of the Rhône Valley and Burgundy.
