Description
The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier cru, Burgundy.
In 1847, Gevrey-Chambertin was one of the first appellations that were created by a combination of a town name of its best cru. The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques from Domaine Faiveley is an exceptional vineyard from this famous appellation.
Partially aged in oak barrels for about 15 months, the appellation refines its aromatic complexity thanks to the fine grain and light toast of the wood. The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques from Domaine Faiveley possesses an intense nose dominated by the fruit. On the palate, this Burgundy wine is strong and concentrated with an incredible aromatic intensity that echoes the nose. The tannins are persistent and the finish is pleasant.
