2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru, Burgundy
The name Damodes is the contraction of the Dames Hautes whose figures were once mistaken with the rocks located on those lands. Since then those figures were seen as a feminine trinity who watches the well-being of the earth. The 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Damodes of Domaine Faiveley was aged in quality oak barrels for 14 months. The wine displays a ruby-tinted deep red colour. A good aromatic expression is dominated by black fruit and spices notes as well as grilled and roasted hints. The 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Damodes attack is full-bodied. The delicate balance between a good tannic structure and a good acidity offers strength, richness and roundness.
