Description
Puligny-Montrachet Village 2015 from Jean Charton : a white wine with a crisp texture
Coming from the Puligny-Montrachet Village appellation, the Puligny-Montrachet Village of Jean Chartron is a white wine made from Chardonnay vines that have been planted in clay-limestone soils. The wine is fermented in oak barrels (30% new and 70% with 1 to 5 previous uses). The wine is also first aged in oak, on fine lees for 12 months, before it is transferred to vats for an additional 4 months.
At the tasting, the Puligny-Montrachet Village 2015 of Jean Chartron presents a light yellow colour. Once the liquid is aerated, the nose reveals notes of pastries (almond paste) and nuts (hazelnuts). In the mouth, the texture of this wine is crisp, revealing a tight spine. This mouthwatering 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Village of great cellaring potential should be consumed before 2020.
This comment is intended to describe the general profile of the wine at one given moment. Note that over time, the wine (which inevitably evolves in the bottle) may develop other organoleptic qualities.
