Description
2005 Pauillac, Second Wine from Château Pontet-Canet, Bordeaux.
The Chateau Pontet-Canet vineyard is located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation and stretches over 80 hectares. The estate philosophy is to intervene as naturally as possible on the vines. The Les Hauts de Pontet-Canet is the Second Wine of Chateau Pontet-Canet, and its 2005 vintage is composed of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
The wine colour is marked by a great depth. The complex nose gives off red and black berries, Morello cherry and blackberry notes. The 2005 Les Hauts de Pontet-Canet attack is full-bodied. On the palate, the wine gradually becomes stronger yet it remains fresh and elegant.
