An elegant and powerful red wine from Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
A single-varietal Pinot Noir red wine produced in the Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru appellation, the Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" of the Maison Louis Latour originates from a vineyard aged 35 years on average. The vines benefit from a soil made up of clay-limestone subsoils. The wine is aged in oak barrels (40% in new barrels) for 10-12 months depending on the vintage.
The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" 2011 from the Maison Louis Latour displays a garnet colour. The nose develops splendid fragrances of blackcurrant, cherries, licorice and spices. The wine shows elegance and power on the palate, revealing the flavors of blackcurrant and a juice combined with a subtle woody touch.
