The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Saint Jean of Olivier Leflaive is pure Chardonnay. The latter is a true representative of the Burgundy region. This wine is from an exceptional terroir and enjoys a location at 250m of altitude, with a calcareous-clay soil that emphasises the most beautiful expressions of the Chardonnay.
The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Saint Jean of Olivier Leflaive seduces by its golden colour and gives way to a complex aromatic bouquet with exotic fruit, grilled hazelnut and brioche notes. These notes are enhanced by a good mineral character and a hint of vanilla. This wine is balanced, precise, with a subtle wood and a good persistence.
