Description
The fruity and balanced character of an exceptional Italian wine
The estate
The Endrici family has been producing wine since 1885 in the region of Trentin Haut-Adige, Italy. The Serpaia di Endrizzi estate is classified amongst the best vineyards in the north of Italy. The family, who not only produces wines of excellent quality, also dedicates their passion and love to the vineyard. The estate is now run by two generations: the parents, Christine and Paolo Endrici, and their children, Lisa Maria and Daniele Endrici. Together, they make up the new generation for Serpaia di Endrizzi. All of the wines at the estate are produced without chemical fertilisers, with respect for the environment and in the quest to achieve the utmost quality. These wines are the expression of great Italian wines and, above all, of a strong family spirit that is full of warmth.
The vineyard
At the heart of the Serpaia di Endrizzi estate, the Maremmello manor sits atop gentle slops exposed to sea breezes. The vineyard is characterised by a moderately deep soil that is rich in clay and sandy rock which, thanks to a large number of trace elements, positively influences the richness and complexity of the aromas and structure of the wine produced on these lands.
Winemaking and ageing
After the manual harvests, during which the best berries are selected, the grapes are taken to the cellar. Fermentation allows for the best aromas of fruit to be preserved from each grape variety. Ageing takes place over eight months in barrels. Only the best barrels were used for this cuvée. The wine is then aged for eight additional months in large oak barrels. To finish, the wine is bottled and aged for another six months.
Blend
Mèria 2014 is made up of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot.
