Two Hands : Sexy Beast 2020

A fruity and delicate red McLaren Vale wine

The estate

Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz founded Two Hands in 1999, their goal being to produce wines that highlight the nuances and aromatic potential of fine Australian wines.

The vineyard

Spread across six different regions, Two Hands' vineyards produce wines that enhance the potential and nuances of each terroir. Each plot is managed independently, from harvesting, through to fermentation, oak ageing and bottling, in order to allow the wine to express its full character and identity. Since its creation, Two Hands has been committed to producing organic wines. "Quality without compromise" is the core value of this visionary company, be it in the way they make their wines and in their choice of names or labels.

The wine

Sexy Beast by Two Hands is made from grapes grown in the finest McLaren Vale terroirs. Rich, powerful and showcasing an energetic character, the name of this wine refers to the eponymous British film, released in 2000.

The blend

Sexy Beast 2020 by Two Hands is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The tasting

Colour

This wine is an intense purple colour, with a darker black hue

Nose

Fruity (blackcurrant) and stalky (cedar, rough bindweed) fragrances on the nose, as well as notes of cloves, aniseed, liquorice and smoked meats.

Palate

This wine seduces the palate due to its persistent fruity expression (blackcurrant, dark berries) and offers a very fine tannic framework.

Storage

Two Hands' Sexy Beast 2020 can be cellared until at least 2028, enabling it to reveal its full aromatic range.
