Borgogno : Riserva 1982

1982 Barolo from Piedmont.

Borgogno created one of its most beautiful vintages. It was rightfully cellared by the property (a specific policy of the property since the 1970s and quite precursor in Italy and in the Barolo). This 1982 Barolo Riserva offers a garnet-tinted deep red colour with brick-red highlights. It is noble and deep on the nose. The eastern bouquet releases saffron, cinammon or even black pepper, but also chocolate, black truffle, and mint notes. The palate is smooth and distinguished, built around well-ripped, marked tannins, on liquorice and prune flavours. This 1982 Barolo Riserva is very precise and noble.
