The appellation of Margaux has been called prestigious, different in size, exceptionally fruitful, voluptuously feminine and has a reputation that it reveals its most beautiful essence with age. Margaux is the largest of the six communal appellations in the Médoc and the one with the highest number of Grand Cru Classé (21). The soil is composed of gravel and pebbles set in sandy clay. With a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon and a large amount of Merlot, Margaux wines are generous, fruity, subtle, elegant and velvety with an extraordinary palette of flavours. The terroir of Margaux reveals the magic of exceptional tastes.
