Chateau Grand Corbin Despagne was founded by Louis Despagne, whose family were historically the tenants of Cheval Blanc, when he acquired the first familial plots at a place called Grand Corbin in 1812. Qualitative investments undertaken since 1996 have resulted in the Chateau's recognition as a Grand Cru Classé in 2006. The passionate efforts of François Despagne have helped the chateau's wine progress and achieve regularity, as evidenced by its excellent valuations by tasters.
