La Chablisienne was founded in 1923. As the name suggests, the estate is located in the Chablis appellation: the golden gate of Burgundy located between Beaune and Paris. La Chablisienne approximately covers 25% of the appellation’s 4700 hectares of vines. Chablis appellation is the largest white wine appellation in Burgundy. The area exclusively grows Chardonnay vines. The predominantly Kimmeridgian soils - marl, limestone, and fossil oysters- give a unique mineral character to the wines.
