Description
Château Cantemerle 2011 : a Haut-Médoc wine with great aging potential
A 5th Classified Growth of 1855, the Château Cantemerle 2011 is produced in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The vines blossom over an area of 90 hectares, planted in soils of gravel and Quaternary silica. The ageing is carried out for 16 months, with 12 months in barrel (50% new, 40% barrels used for one previous wine and 10% used for two) and 4 months in vats. Château Cantemerle 2011 blends 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
Château Cantemerle 2011 is a wine of great richesse. With its very nice and intense colour, this wine displays great concentration. The tannins present a beautiful maturity and the wine reveals a nice acidity, signaling a great ageing potential.
