Description
A full-bodied and beautifully fresh Saint-Émilion red wine
The estate
Located southwest of the village of Saint-Émilion, the Château Monbousquet is a Grand Cru Classé whose 34-hectare vineyard presents a great mosaic of terroirs.
The vineyard
The Château Monbousquet 2023 is a Saint-Émilion wine made from vines averaging 25 years old, resting on sandy, sandy-clay and sandy-gravel soils with iron slag between 60 and 80 cm deep.
Vinification and ageing
Harvested by hand, the grapes are sorted before being vinified in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels, as is the ageing (50% new barrels and 50% of a wine).
Blend
The Château Monbousquet 2023 is a blend of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%).
