From one of the greatest northern appellations, the Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert is the most ancient domain of the appellation. Property of Paul Jaboulet-Aîné since 1834, this red wine is a 100% Syrah
The 2012 Crozes Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert displays a ruby-tinted very deep red colour. It gives off blackberry, black cherry notes, with spicy and floral aromas, the whole enhanced by mineral hints. On the palate, this 2012 vintage develops liquorice, red and dark berry flavours, in an elegant style together with supple tannins. This wine releases a powerful finish.

A rich, structured Crozes Hermitage, Jaboulet's 2012 Domaine de Thalabert offers first-rate notes of blackcurrants, peppery herbs, leather, black olive and scorched earth. Aged 12 months in 20% new French oak, it's medium-bodied, juicy and balanced, with enough underlying depth and structure to keep it evolving nicely through 2023.
