Description
The promising elegance of a great Margaux
A renowned estate on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château La Tour de Bessan is located in the prestigious Margaux appellation. The property which belongs to the Vineyards of Marie-Laure Lurton includes vineyards spread over 3 communes (Arsac, Cantenac, Soussans), over a total surface area of 27.5 hectares planted with 25 year old vines. The vines of Château La Tour de Bessan stretch their roots deep into Pyrenean clay-sandy soils of gravel.
An experienced oenologist and a woman of conviction, Marie-Laure Lurton manages the vineyard of Château La Tour Bessan by means of sustainable agriculture, following environmentally friendly practices. The estate has been certified under the "Terra Vitis" label since 2003.
Château La Tour Bessan 2017 is made from a blend of 57% Merlot and 43% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vinified with the greatest precision, the Château La Tour Bessan 2017 is made by adapting the maceration to each batch. The amount of time the wines spend in the barrel also depends on the vintage. The Château La Tour de Bessan 2017 promises to be quite an auspicious vintage.
This year, the Margaux appellation has seduced the Primeurs with its elegance and freshness. While the nose of this wine offers lovely fruity notes, the palate charms with its classy tannins upon a beautiful acid structure.
