Domaine de la Chapelle : La Chapelle Paul Jaboulet-Aîné 2012

The legendary cru Paul Jaboulet-Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle is a single-grape wine, made from Syrah. The richness of its different terroirs is carried by the complexity of La Chapelle. 
The 2012 La Chapelle appears as one of the best wines of this vintage. It is mainly from a place called Le Meal; the warmest and best exposed sector of the famous Hermitage hill. This 2012 Hermitage La Chapelle was aged for 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels. It gives off graphite, blackberry, roasted meat, roasted coffee beans and liquorice notes. The structure of this wine is dense, generous and tight. Its incredibly pure tannins are numerous and delicate.
