Bin 311 2014 from Penfolds : a Tumbarumba wine with a balanced structure
The Bin 311 2014 from Penfolds has a very light straw yellow colour. The nose develops a beautiful aromatic complexity, combining aromas of biscuits and brioche, along with notes of roasted nuts (hazelnuts, macadamia nuts). Subtle marine notes can then be detected in the background, with honey and guava. On the palate, the Penfolds Bin 311 2014 is quite biscuity with flavours of shortbread. The wine reveals a discreet elegance that combines with tasty touches of lemon cream and citrus. The wine displays a balanced structure before a classic finish.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 Chardonnay Bin 311 has a lovely grapefruit and white peach nose with hints of brioche, cedar and almonds plus a touch of honeycomb. Tight, light to medium-bodied, clean and fresh in the mouth with great intensity, it has a long, mineral finish.
