Description
2015 Saint-Julien, Second vin du Chateau Gruaud Larose from Bordeaux.
The first traces of Chateau Graud Larose and Joseph Stanilas Gruaud date back to 1725. The Chateau is the proprietor of an estate of 80 hectares which vineyard is 43 year old on average. The Second vin Sarget Gruaud Larose is produced from about 25 year old vines; the 2015 vintage is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
This vintage wine displays a purple-tinted ruby red colour. On the nose, it gives off red berry, fresh cherry and raspberry notes enhanced by a spicy hint. On the palate, this Saint-Julien is fresh; its good balance carries an excellent length.
