The 2011 Condrieu is 100% Viognier, a forgotten grape variety which has restored its former glory in the last few years. Domaine Tardieu-Laurent vines enjoy exceptional weather in Roche Courbe, Chanson, and Coteaux de Chéry. The anise-green-tinted, pale yellow hued Condrieu boasts of sheer complexity: a show of the outstanding soils more focused on minerals than variety. The Viognier emulates a subtler style, with minerals lingering on the clear-cut, vibrant palate. On the finish, 2011 Condrieu Blanc is very refreshing and long.
