Description
Tasting notes and serving suggestions for Alain Voge’s Harmonie 2024
Tasting
Color
Bright pale yellow color, enlivened by delicate golden highlights.
Nose
The nose reveals lovely aromatic complexity dominated by notes of white flowers—especially acacia—alongside hints of tea and fresh citrus, with a pronounced mandarin character.
Palate
The attack is round and charming, offering a generous fruity expression. Juicy acidity brings freshness and balance, while the finish stretches out with precision on mineral notes that faithfully reflect the terroir.
Food and wine pairings
This wine is an ideal match for trout from the Diois delicately prepared with a spiced vegetable reduction inspired by Indian flavors. It also pairs perfectly with grilled seafood, scallop carpaccio, creamy poultry dishes, or young fresh cheeses.
Serving and cellaring
Harmonie 2024 is best enjoyed at a temperature of 12°C. This wine can be enjoyed now and until around 2029.
An elegant, mineral Saint-Péray white from the Rhône Valley
The estate
Founded in 1905 by Henri Voge, this family estate now spans 13 hectares in the Northern Rhône Valley. In 1958, Alain Voge decided to devote himself exclusively to viticulture, becoming a pioneer in the revival of the Cornas and Saint-Péray appellations. Now run by Lionel Fraisse since 2018, the estate continues Alain Voge’s legacy following his passing in 2020. Fully certified organic and biodynamic since 2016, the estate stands out for its commitment to sustainable viticulture and the authentic expression of its terroirs.
The vineyard
The Saint-Péray vineyard from which the Harmonie cuvée is produced covers around 1.2 hectares spread across the Le Plantier, Prieuré, and Chamblard parcels. The Marsanne vines, averaging 30 years of age, are bush-trained (gobelet) with wooden stakes. They grow on colluvial soils mixed with coarse granitic sand and clay-limestone, located on the appellation’s hillsides. The entire vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically, with all work carried out exclusively by hand.
Winemaking and aging
After manual harvesting, the Harmonie 2024 grapes are gently pressed. Vinification takes place at low temperature in concrete tanks. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur naturally thanks to indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged on fine lees for 8 to 10 months in concrete tanks, without bâtonnage. Bottling takes place in the spring following the harvest.
