Description
A High-Altitude Single-Plot Grenache by Atelier Guibert
The Estate
Atelier Guibert officially came into being in 2025 in Aniane, in the heart of the Languedoc, within the historic cradle of Mas de Daumas Gassac. This new fourteen-hectare vineyard, spread across Aniane and Gignac and farmed entirely under organic conversion, is driven by the five sons of Véronique and Aimé Guibert: Samuel, Roman, Gaël, Basile and Amélien, who have been at the helm of the family estate since 2010. Conceived as a true single-plot laboratory, the estate showcases southern varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan and Mourvèdre, continuing the legacy of Daumas Gassac.
The Vineyard
The "Pure" cuvée comes from micro-plots of Grenache planted on the heights of Arboras and the Causse d'Arboras, at between 300 and 350 metres above sea level, within the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. The vines, aged 45 to 55 years, are rooted in clay-limestone soils typical of these Languedoc hillsides. This high-altitude site encourages slow ripening and preserves the freshness of the Grenache, while yields are deliberately kept low at 39 hectolitres per hectare.
Vinification and Ageing
The "Pure" Parcellaire de Grenache 2024 is vinified using whole bunches, without destemming, with fermentation carried out solely by indigenous yeasts and without any additives. Extraction, performed gently by infusion, aims to preserve all the finesse of the Grenache. The wine is neither fined, filtered nor degassed, and it is aged in both barrels and stoneware jars, followed by further maturation in bottle.
Grape Variety
This "Pure" Parcellaire de Grenache 2024 from Atelier Guibert is made from 100% Grenache, grown on old vines aged 45 to 55 years.
