2011 Fronsac from Bordeaux

Chateau de la Dauphine 31 hectares vineyard is one of the most beautiful in Fronsac appellation. The 2011 vintage is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The wine reveals delicious red fruits, spices, and lovely mineral sharpness. The palate offers medium-bodied, alluring, and relatively fleshy texture, as well as freshness from a mix of roses, pepper, and black fruit flavours.  The attack is elegant, with quite supple yet tense tannins.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
This large estate, one of the most beautiful properties in Fronsac, produces a wine made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Delicious berry fruit, good spice and chalky minerality emerge from this medium-bodied, attractive, fleshy 2011. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years.
