Description
A generous and powerful Saint-Émilion Grand Cru red wine
A Classified Growth of Saint-Émilion, Château Grand Corbin Manuel has a 7-hectare single vineyard with vines averaging 33 years. They are planted in clay-limestone soils, which are characteristic of the appellation. Château Grand Corbin Manuel plants 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged in barrels (50% in new barrels) for 17 months.
The Château Grand Corbin Manuel 2010 is very fruity (blackcurrant and candied cherry notes) with a grippy body on the palate. The mouthfeel is generous and powerful with flavours of oak, liquorice and tobacco that continue until the finish. The tannic structure of this wine suggests that it can be kept until at least 2025. This is a great success for the Château Grand Corbin Manuel.
